This was originally my mothers bike but it got stolen and vandalized. When it returned a few weeks later it looked like this .. it was presumably stolen by some fans of the local soccer team (whose colors are blue and white) .. it was taken approx. 1 hour before a big game. Anyway, my mother got a new bike and I got this.. er.. thing.

Update 20040422

Gave the bike a major overhaul making it usable. Things changed are:

1. New tires & inner tubes front and rear
2. New single-pivot side-pull front brake
3. Added single-pivot side-pull rear brake
4. Removed coaster brake from rear hub by cutting brake arm and removing internal brake cone
5. New chain
6. New MTB style brake handles
7. New stem
8. New saddle
9. Misc new bolts
10. Fixed internal gears
